"Yay!!!"
"I'm one, guys!"
*Tear* My sweet baby is already turning a year old. Where, oh where, has the time gone?? Everyone always says it goes by in a flash. I guess it's hard to believe that in those first difficult months. But, now I believe...
Leah is growing and changing everyday. We love her sweet and sassy personality. She knows how to work it!
-She is walking all around the house now. Like she owns it! ;)
-She still gives kisses, but now she gives hugs! So sweet.
-She climbs very well. :P
-Last week, Justin was taking out the trash and she just HAD to help. She walked behind him with both hands grabbing the top of the trash bag. What a good helper! It was the cutest (but not the cleanest) thing!
-She loves crawling under furniture! Like the blue table tunnel!
-She waves at everyone! But if a stranger (or sometimes just anyone but Mommy and Daddy) comes too close, SCREAM!
-She is starting to understand a lot more of what we say. She knows shoes, "Night night," book, hair, "Give that to me," clap, wave, pootie, etc.
-She loves to take things out of whatever- the cabinets, the laundry basket (already folded clothes!!), drawers... And has very little interest in putting anything back.
-She loves to read. She hands us a book and sits in our lap. She expecially loves "Bouncy Baby," "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?," "Moo, Baa, La La La" and "Barnyard Dance."
- She loves her gumball machine, her kitchen, and her poppin' pals. She also enjoys her blocks... knocking them down, that is. And, of course carrying around her jack-o-lantern bucket!
-Leah loves to play outside. She doesn't mind getting in the dirt!
-She still loves her wagon and trike. We try to walk around the block almost every night. She waves at everyone like it's her own personal parade.
-She likes to eat finger foods more than baby food, but she also likes to rub the food in her hair. Ick. She can also use a fork (as long as Mommy loads it for her).
-"What does the sheep say, Leah" "Baaaaa!"
-She can identify pictures of her family and give them kisses.
-She can halfway blow a kiss. She gets the kissing her hand part, but not the giving it away part.
-She can throw a fit with the best of 'em.
-She celebrated St. Patrick's Day by wearing a green onesie and leprechaun socks, and dancing to "Finnegan's Wake" on Regis and Kelly.
-Her hair is starting to settle down a little, and it is growing very fast. Pigtails- here we come!
-She has started going to the nursery at church, and they say she behaves. :) As a teacher, I am always wondering how she interacts with the other kids!
-We play hide and seek with her and try to chase her around the house still. She has gotten so fast!
-She still has just two little teeth at the bottom, but we feel one coming in on the top. What a cute grin!
-She is definitely a show-off. Like her momma.
-She went to the Children's Museum again this month. Jackson Rheman and his mommy and daddy joined us, and we all went on a picnic afterwards. Super fun times!
-Leah went to her first rodeo! We went with the McClung family. Leah and Avery loved all the animals!
Now she can say, "This ain't my first rodeo!" We split a gooey cinnamon roll (ok when I say split, it wasn't exactly half and half). We also went through the butterfly greenhouse. Leah tried to be gentle!
She is getting harder and harder to keep up with, but we are loving every minute. Love that little girl!
Happy First Birthday, Sweet Pea. You are Mommy's and Daddy's WORLD!
Some of the cutest pics ever! Loved the post!
