Ok, so I never got around to blogging for Leah's 8 month bday. Get over it! Just kidding. I just kept putting it off, and then I realized that I didn't remember what happened before 8 months and what happened after.
On the upside- my bestie, Cass, who is exponentially talented and creative is giving me a blog overhaul for Christmas! Hooray! Once she gets her ducks in a row (she is quite busy) she will make a custom blog design just for me! So say goodbye to the plain old green. I will not miss it.
Now, on to Leah.
Leah has grown so much in the past two months.
-She is crawling! At first she scooted backwards, then she army crawled on her belly. Now she is really crawling. She likes to follow us around the house and get into things!
-She went on her first picnic to Hermann Park to feed the ducks.
-She even has taken a few steps using her new walkers. Such a big girl!
-She flails her arms around like she is conducting when she gets excited.
-Her personality is getting more and more pronounced each day.
-About a week ago, she had her first restaurant temper tantrum. Oh my! We are in for it! :) Is it instinct to arch your back when you throw a tantrum? haha.
-She doesn't like baby food that much anymore and has taken to eating finger foods and food from Mommy's plate.
-She is busy playing with all her new toys. She can turn off the light on her kitchen on command. ;)
-She got sick for the first time-- a very sad cold, smack in the middle of our trip to see David and Sara in Dallas. It made for quite an interesting weekend! We still had a great time.
-She went to the zoo again with Mommy and Nana over the Winter Break.
-She and Daddy play "pootie-copter" where he flaps her pootie back and forth and she anxiously awaits it. Then she cannons it out and giggles.
-She is "talking"-mostly, dada, mama, ba, and num num (food), with some other "words" thrown in.
-She has two teeth! No more toothless grin! She really did get her two front teeth for Christmas!
-Her hair is growing longer everyday.
-She not only learned how to pull to a stand, but can now get down gracefully instead of taking a tumble.
-She gives kisses! Big, fat, open mouth, slobbery kisses-- and we love them!
-She can drink through a straw, and she loves water (not juice???)!
-She had her first Thanksgiving and Christmas.

-She made her first gingerbread house with Mommy, Nana, and Aunt Amanda.
-She loves books, especially furry books!
-She plays peekaboo, and giggles when Daddy chases her around the living room.
-She grabs everything including earrings, chunks of hair, glasses, etc.
-She has a new whiney face.
-She sits in the big girl high chair at restaurants.
-She says, "Ohhhhh!" when she likes something and then squeals.
-She LOVES her Daddy. They have lots of fun together.
-She looks really cute in winter clothes. :)
-She is still just plain cute!
wowser those are a lot of totally stinkin' cute photos! I love all of them! and yes, blog re-design coming soon, and by soon, I mean when monkey's bday craziness is over soon. :)
