Scootin'

Leah has learned how to scoot, but she can only go backwards!

Hi, Leah!

Where are you going?

Can you even see her?

There she is!

I'm ready to crawl people!

Our Lil' Pumpkin

Leah's first Halloween was a success!
On Friday night, we picked out the perfect pumpkins for carving.

We also tried on her costumes and took some really great pictures.
The original idea was a spider with a huge plastic fly to gnaw on. BUT, when it came in the mail, it was gray instead of purple and the hat was too small!

Leah's very 1st Halloween--BOO!

The cutest pumpkin in the patch!

Leah was very interested in the candy bowl! She was double fisting it!

Then on Saturday, we carved the pumpkins after dinner. She wasn't much in to the pumpkin carving.

On Halloween night, Papa, Mimi, G, Aunt Amanda, and "soon-to-be Uncle" Rodney came over and had GHOULash for dinner. We missed you Nana!

Then we dressed Leah up and went trick-or-treating to a few houses of people we know on the block. She was a super cute punkin!

At the end of the night, she was hot and sweaty, so she got to strip down to her diaper and JUMP!

Sleep Training

After 6 months in Mommy and Daddy's bed, snuggled up in between our pillows (in her Snuggle Nest), Leah has moved to her crib. Yay! She cries for a few minutes and then sleeps for about 9 or 10 hours. Oh the joy! I would show pictures, but I haven't been brave enough to take any. Maybe in a few weeks.

Zoo Boo!

Today we took Leah to the zoo for the first time. It was extra fun because all the kids were dressed up for Halloween. Leah wasn't very interested in the animals, but we all still had fun. We got to see the sweet baby elephant too! They had a pumpkin patch where you can decorate a pumpkin to take home. We got some great pics!

As you can see from the pictures, she got cranky and fell asleep. We tuckered her out again!
Can't wait to go back, especially since we bought a membership! :)

I can sit all by myself!

Check it out. Such a big girl!

October 17, 2010

I'm late, I'm late!

For a very important date!

On October 12, my baby girl turned 6 months old! And now, I have a minute to post some new developments:
-Leah now weighs 16 pounds, 13 ounces. She is 27.5 inches tall!

-I went back to work and Leah started spending her days with Nana and Mimi. I miss her dearly, but she (and her G-mas) are having a grand ole time!

-Leah has decided she likes anything with buttons- remotes, phones, keyboards. So we got her a toy phone that I hope she finds equally thrilling.

- She has become very GRABBY! She wants what you have.

- Leah has started to sit up on her own. She is still a little unstable, but she will be there soon!

-She has a mighty strong gag reflex. She has vomited on me and poor Aunt Cassie because she likes to put her fist a little too far in her mouth. Ick!

-Daddy and Leah have shrieking contests!

-She giggles at the most random things, and ALWAYS gets the hiccups after her giggles.

-She is a rolly-polly! She rolls back and forth, back and forth. This is her first means of transportation.

-Watch out for your hair and earrings, people! Leah has a Kung Fu grip!

-We took Leah to the Katy Rice harvest Festival last weekend. We thought the weather would be perfect, but it was HOT! It wasn't my best idea ever.

-Now that the weather is nice, we like to go walking even more around the neighborhood. We also sit out on the driveway and hang out on her blankey. She gets all the neighbors' attention, and she loves that!

-Nana and Mimi have had some success getting Leah to sleep in her bed for naps. Hooray!

-She has learned to breath out of her mouth. She sounds like a panting doggy. -She is still blowing raspberries!

-She has expanded her vocal chords!

-She took her last bath on the kitchen cabinet. I was soaked, the kitchen was soaked. So, now we have moved her bath into the big bath tub! She has also started showing some love to rubber duckie. It's very cute!

-She likes to "throw it in the pan." She has been doing "Patty-Cake" since she was brand new and know we see her arm doing the motion. So smart! I think she had also learned to wave, but I will update that one next month.

-Tummy time is not so bad anymore because she can push herself up and roll over whenever she pleases!

-She got her 1st booboo. A paper cut from Nana's magazine. It's ok, Nana! I'm all better!

-She is way more into her jumper this month!

-Leah gets dressed up for game day!

-She and Daddy have a nightly routine. They have a special pajama routine:

A few more odds and ends:
