Leah's First Cereal

This morning, Leah had her first rice cereal. We got the go ahead from the doctor to start solids, and although I am not in a hurry to do that, I wanted Justin and me to experience this with her. So, since I go back to work in a few weeks, we are getting started.

She sat in her newly assembled high chair with her bib on ready to go!

The first taste. "What is this? Where is my milk?"

"This isn't so bad. It kinda tastes like milk."

Open wide!

Nice fu manchu (spelling??)

"You got it on my nose!"

Messy Mama

More please!

"Yay! Milk! Now THIS is what I REALLY wanted."

Leah goes to the Children's Museum!

Today, Justin and I took Leah to the Children's Museum. She seemed to have fun looking at and playing with everything they had there. Although she was too little to do many things we had a great time in the "Tot Spot."

"Where are we going?"

Ready to go in the the "Tot Spot"

"Who is that beautiful baby?"

"Hi, Daddy!"

That chair is a little small for Daddy!

That was fun!

Leah's plum tuckered out!

Aunt Chelsa loves Leah!

So, like I said, I have been slacking on the blog. Sorry! But I absolutely must put a picture of Leah meeting her Aunt Chelsa while we were in North Carolina! Although Leah was kind of a grump that week, Aunt Chelsa got some "Leah time."

4 months already?!

Happy 4 months to my precious Princess Leah!

4 month stats:
14 lbs. 1 oz. (up 3 pounds since June)
25.5 in. (up 1 inch since June)

I know I haven't been blogging like I should, but my laptop is currently under the weather, and I have been too busy to do anything about it for a number of weeks. SO... blogging isn't as easy on the desktop. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. So I have a lot to share about Leah's month. This has been a big month for growing and doing new things, so here goes: -First and foremost, Leah has been sleeping through the night. Hallelujah! She goes to bed around 9:30 and wakes up around 7:30. It is amazing! - Leah had her very first trip to the mall when we went shopping for Aunt Cassie's bday. She made friends with many strangers. They can't resist her cuteness. Shopper in training! -She also had her first Thai food, MY favorite. Ok, so she didn't really eat it of course, but I sure did. AND she was such a good girl. She has been to many restaurants in the last month! -Cuteness alert! Leah had her first giggle! Of course, she laughed at her Daddy! They love to play "choo choo train." Choo! Choo! Check out the video!

-She is not rolling over yet, but she gets that leg going and comes VERY close. -Leah has started taking formula, which she seems to LOVE. She tries to hold her own bottle, and sometimes tries to watch tv and eat at the same time. Like father, like daughter! Haha, just kidding! -Leah went to her first baby shower for sweet baby, Avery Marshall (coming in September). She loved sitting in Kelly's lap and watching Shannon open presents! We passed her around to Melissa, Pam, and of course Shannon. -She still loves the fan. It's a lifesaver when it comes to calming her down to sleep. I am its number one fan. Get it? teehee. -Now starts the time when she is using both of her hands to grab toys and everything has one destination- her mouth. "Why are all your toys wet, Leah?" She has "discovered" her hands, and is using them better and better everyday. We are still training her to put her Pootie back in her mouth. -She loves to stand up and look around. She is very curious and inquisitive. -She can sit up, assisted of course. -She enjoys a new alternative to tummy time: -She is cooing like crazy. Long drawn out coos and goo goos. We hang on every "word." She also blows raspberries, which is super cute. -Sticking your tongue out at her is the best chance for a big toothless grin! -She loves books and is starting to try to turn the pages. -She still loves her playplace and her froggy toy/bouncer.

-The drool, my goodness, the drool.

-So last. I have been procrastinating sharing this one. Her hair. is. falling. out. There are little baby hairs everywhere. In my mouth (too many kisses!), in her bed, on her pootie, you name it. Sad. I know- it will grow back. Blah blah blah. BUT, it don't matter because she is still the darn cutest baby in the universe (her daddy thinks so too!). For fun, POOP FACE! :) -
