7 months old!?!?

Seven months just sounds so much older than six to me!

This month has flown by!

Here are some things that happened this month:

-First and foremost, Leah is sleeping in her crib! I wish I had a picture to prove it to you, but IT'S TOO RISKY!

-She has perfected sitting up and is starting to get into the crawl stance. Better start baby-proofing!

-She "scoots" by moving backwards on her hiney or rolling and slithering backwards. She can go pretty far pretty fast!

-She had her first Halloween.

-She had her first trip to the zoo.

-She is very good at putting her pacifier in her mouth. I can put it across the bed from her once she is out, and it will end up back in her mouth by morning.

-She plays peek-a-boo with Daddy.

-She laughs a lot more!

-She is starting to say more sounds.

-She still pulls hair...

-She gets lots of kisses!

-She has two new big girl toys- her snail, and her phone.

-Her Aunt Amanda got engaged and Leah helped her celebrate!

-She hung out with G and Mimi a lot!

-She helped Papa celebrate his birthday. She helped deliver his cards to him. After she took a bite of each one of course!

-She cheered up Nana! And got to see her Uncle Ryan!!

-She used a sippy cup. And I use the word USED loosely. I don't think she actually had any liquid go down.

-She still loves her jumper!

-She can now ride in a grocery cart! So much easier!!!

-She likes to lounge... like her daddy and mommy!

-We put the Blue Bell carton on her head, just like her daddy. SO CUTE.

-It got cold for about 2 days, so we got to "winterize!"

-Still blowing raspberries.

-She loves to play on our laptops. She is not particular. Any laptop in the general vicinity is good.

-She stayed the night in a hotel again (second time). I was really worried she would cry for a while when we put her down, but there was not a peep!

-She's just plain cute!

Scootin'

Leah has learned how to scoot, but she can only go backwards!

Hi, Leah!

Where are you going?

Can you even see her?

There she is!

I'm ready to crawl people!

Our Lil' Pumpkin

Leah's first Halloween was a success!
On Friday night, we picked out the perfect pumpkins for carving.

We also tried on her costumes and took some really great pictures.
The original idea was a spider with a huge plastic fly to gnaw on. BUT, when it came in the mail, it was gray instead of purple and the hat was too small!

Leah's very 1st Halloween--BOO!

The cutest pumpkin in the patch!

Leah was very interested in the candy bowl! She was double fisting it!

Then on Saturday, we carved the pumpkins after dinner. She wasn't much in to the pumpkin carving.

On Halloween night, Papa, Mimi, G, Aunt Amanda, and "soon-to-be Uncle" Rodney came over and had GHOULash for dinner. We missed you Nana!

Then we dressed Leah up and went trick-or-treating to a few houses of people we know on the block. She was a super cute punkin!

At the end of the night, she was hot and sweaty, so she got to strip down to her diaper and JUMP!

Sleep Training

After 6 months in Mommy and Daddy's bed, snuggled up in between our pillows (in her Snuggle Nest), Leah has moved to her crib. Yay! She cries for a few minutes and then sleeps for about 9 or 10 hours. Oh the joy! I would show pictures, but I haven't been brave enough to take any. Maybe in a few weeks.
